AGR signs Excavation Master Service Agreement with Heerema Marine Contractors

AGR Subsea Ltd today announced that it has signed a Master Service Agreement with Heerema Marine Contractors. The five year Agreement covers a range of equipment, including Seabed Transfer System pumps, the SeaVator Mass Flow Excavator and AGR’s unique ClayCutter X hard ground excavation and pipeline route preparation system.

The first work to be executed under the new agreement will be seabed excavation around platform piles on a number of Ekofisk platforms, in preparation for removal of the structures.

Rowan Expands Rig Construction Program: Orders Four Super 116E Jack-Ups from Keppel AmFELS

Rowan Companies, Inc. (NYSE:RDC) announced today that it has entered into contracts with Keppel AmFELS, Inc. for the construction of four Super 116E class jack-ups. The rigs will be built at AmFELS' Brownsville, Texas shipyard, with delivery scheduled at approximately four-month intervals beginning in the second quarter of 2010.
