Customers set to benefit from enhanced moorings-related services

2009.07.06 - Company News

Acteon has completed the integration of the moorings-related products and services provided by three of the Group’s operating companies: InterMoor, based in Houston, USA, and International Mooring Systems (IMS) and Trident Offshore, based in Aberdeen, UK. All will now operate under a single brand, InterMoor.

Bringing the companies together creates the world’s largest inventory of mooring equipment. It also produces an all-inclusive resource for mooring design, engineering, fabrication and, installation, as well as the overall management of rig-moves and FPSO-mooring projects.

InterMoor and IMS are both recognised leaders in the mainstream moorings industry. Adding the knowledge and experience possessed by these two companies to Trident’s specialised hydrographic-surveying and rig-positioning skills has great potential value. Acteon believes that no other moorings company can offer this combination of services.

The President of the new organisation will be Tom Fulton who says, “Bringing the three companies under the same roof has several advantages. It will make us more efficient and responsive, and it will be easier to communicate and work together to develop new products and services. Customers will be able to access a completely integrated moorings service or, equally, select from a range of discrete offerings.”

InterMoor will be headquartered in Houston and will maintain all the Group’s existing operating bases for moorings in Brazil, Norway, South-East Asia, the UK, the USA and West Africa.
