Cybernétix Oil & Gas carrying on its involvement with Saipem in Kazakhstan
With the award of a second contract for KASHAGAN project, related to the flowline facilities of development phases 2 & 3, SAIPEM SpA renews its interest and its confidence in CYBERNETIX range of turnkey solutions dedicated to flow performance in hostile environments.
Early 2010 CYBERNETIX delivered a package of subsea Temperature Monitoring Systems (TMS) to equip the multiphase pipelines of AGIP KCO operated Kashagan oilfield, as a key part of the hydrate prevention and management programme.
Onsite technical assistance was provided by CYBERNETIX field personnel with the onshore installation phase in April 2010 of the first systems, especially developed to last over 30 years.
An initial set of TM Systems had been successfully delivered to SAIPEM SpA and commissioned by a team of CYBERNETIX mid 2008 in the North Caspian Sea.
Thanks to its participation in this major project, CYBERNETIX can again deploy its unique technology based on non-intrusive measurements, dedicated to extreme operating conditions… A suite of complementary products designed to optimize production and to secure all infrastructure assets involved in the exploitation of deep or complex fields.
KASHAGAN ranks among the world’s largest oil finds, and one of the most challenging environments for today’s technologies, due to several extreme parameters with regard to hydrogen sulphide contents, high pressures and low temperatures. The oilfield is exceptionally shallow but the complexity of the reservoir and the near-arctic operating conditions in winter greatly contribute to increasing difficulties and costs.
