DNV and COOEC sign strategic cooperation agreement

Under the agreement, DNV and COOEC will further extend the cooperation in offshore and onshore oil and gas related fields, especially in the areas of technology research and development in deepwater pipeline & riser technology, as well as drilling and production floater technology.
The agreement was signed by COOEC President Jiang Xizhao and DNV Vice President and Area Chair for Greater China Joerg Beiler.
“COOEC and DNV have a long-term relationship. We have cooperated on a number of projects in offshore and onshore oil and gas related areas. The signing of the agreement demonstrates that our cooperation has reached a new milestone,” Mr. Jiang Xizhao said, adding that “this strategic cooperation between COOEC and DNV will benefit all parties involved in the offshore and onshore oil and gas area, as well as the entire energy supply chain.”
Mr. Joerg Beiler said in his speech, “we are proud to sign the strategic cooperation agreement with COOEC. DNV and COOEC share the same values on quality, innovation, technology and competence. Petroleum Geo-Services ASA ('PGS' or the Company) announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Applied Geophysical Services, Inc. (AGS) for a price of USD 51 million, subject to certain adjustments for changes in working capital. PGS estimates an enterprise value for AGS of approximately USD 46 million. AGS is based in Houston, Texas and specializes in providing advanced depth imaging services. The transaction is expected to close during the course of this week.
Total announces the acquisition of a 40% interest in three exploration permits northeast of Ichthys on the Australian Browse Basin jointly with Inpex (60%, operator). These interests were held by ConocoPhillips. This acquisition is subject to the approval of the Australian authorities.
Rowan Companies, Inc. (NYSE:RDC) announced today that it has entered into contracts with Keppel AmFELS, Inc. for the construction of four Super 116E class jack-ups.
