Offshore accommodation specialist, HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, recently agreed to a contract to supply accommodation units on the BP Regalia Platform on the Valhall Field. HB Rentals’ Eastern Hemisphere headquarters in Aberdeen has agreed to a long-term lease contract of 18 months to supply four A60, Zone II NORSOK-compliant office modules to the platform. Full text
TGS has signed a three year sales, marketing and 2D seismic Cooperation Agreement with Dalmornefte Geophysica Yuzhno- Sakhalinsk (DMNG) in the Arctic region, east and west of the Bering Strait. The Cooperation Agreement includes industry funded 2D operations performed in Russian waters during Q3 2010, which will serve as a foundation for additional work in 2011 and 2012. Full text
Seadrill has entered into an agreement to acquire the two ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling rigs, Seadragon I and Seadragon II. The total project price for the two rigs, which are currently under construction at the Jurong Shipyard in Singapore, is estimated to be approximately US$1.2 billion. Full text
