Seadrill has entered into a conditional agreement with BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC for a firm two year contract plus further one year option period for the newbuild semi-tender West Jaya offshore Trinidad and Tobago. Contract value for the firm period is approximately US$140 million including a mobilization fee for the transit. In addition, BP will compensate Seadrill for minor equipment upgrades related to the assignment. Full text

A/S Norske Shell has decided to extend the maintenance and modification contract with Aker Solutions, exercising a 2 year option in the existing agreement for the Draugen and Ormen Lange fields. Aberdeenshire-based glass fibre product manufacturer, PPS Glass Fibre, has won a contract worth £200K for the research, development, manufacture and supply of riser anti-roll chocks to Stena Drilling for use on four of their drill ships. The chocks, which PPS Glass Fibre manufactured using glass fibre, are safety mechanisms which will prevent risers from moving about and potentially being damaged or causing damage onboard. Full text
