Tentec Limited, a global supplier of bolt tightening equipment has appointed John McKay to the newly created post of Business Manager. Bringing a wealth of technical and commercial sales experience, John will be responsible for increasing Tentec’s share of the controlled bolting market in Scotland and Norway. John’s new role, which follows a series of new management appointments over the last 12 months, will further strengthen the Engineering Sales team at Tentec as it continues planned global growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Sales Director at Tentec, Roy Sheldon, said “I am delighted to welcome John to our sales team. John has many years of experience in the bolt tightening industry and we are looking forward to growing our share of the market.  John will be strategically based in the Aberdeen area, the perfect location to build on relationships with existing Tentec customers and to develop new opportunities for us.” John McKay was previously employed by Hydratight Limited as a Senior Sales Engineer.

Adding his comments, John said “We are looking to expand our business in Scotland and Norway, particularly in the offshore market.  Tentec, as a truly independent company, is one of a few bolt tightening companies in the world that has the ability to design and manufacture special purpose bolt tensioners to suit bolting applications where standard tensioners and torque wrenches are not suitable.  I intend to use this expertise to offer both standard and special bolt tightening solutions.”
