Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA has been awarded a shallow water survey in Malaysia worth more than USD 2.5 million by a major oil company. These contract revenues will be recognised in the fourth quarter of 2010. The 3D EM survey is currently underway using the vessel BOA Galatea. Full text

(NYSE: DRQ) today announced that Dril-Quip (Europe) Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary located in Aberdeen, Scotland, has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $20 million by Technip UK Limited for the supply of equipment for the Islay Gas Field project in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea. The Islay Field is located 440 kilometers northeast of Aberdeen in 120 meters of water. Full text

(NYSE:MDR) (“McDermott”) announced today that one of its subsidiaries has been awarded a contract from Vetco Gray Australia Pty Limited for the fabrication of subsea structures and spools for Chevron’s Gorgon Upstream Project. The value is expected to be in excess of US$50 million and will be included in McDermott's fourth-quarter 2010 bookings. Full text
Technocean AS, a subsidiary of Reef Subsea AS, has signed a two-year service agreement with BP Norge for integrated subsea services in the North Sea. Upon signing the service agreement, a purchase order for the Valhall LoFS (Life of field seismic) rectification work was awarded.

Aker Solutions has won a contract to provide a complete, 8 000 feet drilling riser system to Sevan Marine's deepwater drilling rig Sevan Brasil. The contract is worth more than USD 40 million. The delivery includes more than 100 riser joints, which will be produced at Aker Solutions' manufacturing facility in Rio das Ostras, Brazil. Full text
Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA today signed a contract worth approximately USD 1.5 million with Total E&P UK Ltd and DONG Energy to acquire 3D electromagnetic (EM) data in the West of Shetland area on the UK Continental Shelf. Total has established a significant portfolio of exploration and development interests in this area and the 3D EM data acquired by EMGS will be used to de-risk a hydrocarbon prospect. Full text
