Helix Energy Solutions Group has been awarded a Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract by Norwegian producer Statoil to assist in the development of its forthcoming “Category B” semi-submersible well intervention vessel. Seadrill has received a letter of intent from Statoil for a harsh environment jack-up drilling rig for the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The letter of intent represents a five-year contract with an estimated contract value of approximately US$650 million, (including a mobilization fee of US$24 million), and start-up is scheduled for the third quarter 2011. InterMoor Inc., an Acteon company, has been awarded a preset mooring project for Noble Energy offshore Equatorial Guinea, announced InterMoor President Tom Fulton. InterMoor will be providing the design, engineering, procurement and installation services for preset moorings in the Aseng Field. Five preset mooring legs will be installed at a water depth of approximately 1,050 meters (3,445 ft). Full text

BJ Services announced that it has been awarded a contract to deliver casing, tubular and drillstring running services by RIPSA, an affiliate of Repsol YPF. Operations will be carried out offshore Spain.
