BJ Services announced that it has been awarded a contract to deliver casing, tubular and drillstring running services by RIPSA, an affiliate of Repsol YPF. Operations will be carried out offshore Spain. BJ is supporting the three-year contract, which features two one-year options to renew, from its base in Den Helder, The Netherlands, and has commenced operations on the Casablanca platform. KBR announced today that its consulting subsidiary, Granherne, has been selected to take part in the FEED contract for the Greenfield sections of Hess Denmark ApS' South Arne Phase 3 Development in the North Sea. Granherne was selected for the study via a competitive bidding process. The project will utilize the combined expertise of Granherne and KBR and has assembled an experienced team to manage the fast track schedule. Full text

Aker Solutions has signed a contract with Chevron Australia Pty Ltd to supply subsea umbilicals and associated equipment for the Gorgon Project, offshore Australia. Contract value is approximately NOK 550 million. Aker Solutions will supply 264 kilometres of steel tube umbilicals to the Gorgon Project, which will develop the Greater Gorgon Area gas fields, located about 130 kilometres off the north-west coast of Western Australia. Sigma Offshore – the independent engineering company, project management specialist and moorings provider – has been awarded a $1.2 million (US dollars) order with Australian-based oil and gas company, Nido Petroleum. Nido, headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, is an exploration and production company whose business activities are focussed on the Philippines offshore Palawan Basin. Full text

Aker Solution' marine operations unit has entered into a long-term agreement with ABB regarding installation of power cables and related services. ABB will charter one of Aker Solutions' new vessels for installation campaigns during 2012 and 2013. Aker Solutions estimates that this can generate revenues up to NOK 500 million. Full text

TDW Offshore Services AS (TDW) announced that it has entered into a framework contract with Statoil ASA to provide pipeline pressure isolation services and equipment for its installations located in the Norwegian North Sea. The agreement requires TDW to supply pipeline pressure isolation services with its remotely-operated SmartPlug® technology. Full text
