ABB has awarded Aker Solutions' wholly-owned subsidiary Aker Marine Contractors the contract to install its subsea power cable for the Goliat field in the Barents Sea. Aker Marine Contractors will install the cable utilising its new-build subsea installation and construction vessel, AMC Connector. She will install 106,5 kilometres of cable - in one length - stretching from Hammerfest, Norway, offshore to the Goliat FPSO. Full text
GE Oil & Gas is pleased to announce it has been issued orders to supply seven subsea tree and wellhead systems, utilizing the VetcoGray MHXT tree and VetcoGray SG-5 wellhead system, by Maersk Oil North Sea UK Limited (Maersk Oil) for deployment in the U.K. North Sea. FoundOcean, the subsea and offshore grouting specialist for the global energy construction industries, has been contracted by Micoperi to grout the annuli between the jacket sleeves and the piles at The Guendalina Platform, to be installed in the oil and gas field of the North Adriatic Sea. The jacket, a monopod with three foundation piles, will be installed in a water depth of 42m. Full text
Oilfield equipment specialist Titan Torque Services has secured a six-figure contract to provide support services for exploration work off the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic. It has signed a one-year deal with well management company AGR Petroleum Services to provide torquing facilities in support of the operation of the drilling rig Ocean Guardian. Full text

Technip, in a consortium with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd., has been awarded by Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) and MISC Berhad a front-end engineering and design contract for a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit. The FLNG, which will have a capacity of one million-tonnes per annum, will be located in Malaysia. Full text
