Hess strike natural gas at Nimblefoot well offshore Australia

Hess Corporation announced today that the Nimblefoot-1 exploration well on Australia's Northwest Shelf discovered natural gas. The well encountered 93 feet (28 meters) of net gas pay. Hess holds a 100 percent interest in the 780,000 acre WA-390-P Permit. Full text

Huntington discovery moved forward

2008.02.11 - Field Development

The operator Oilexco today announced an update of the Huntington appraisal activities (see attached file). Noreco owns 20% of the discovery. An extensive appraisal programme for the Forties oil accumulation has been completed, and appraisal of the Fulmar oil accumulation is on its way. Further appraisal activity will be required to conclude on the full potential of the lower zones of the field. Fast track development options for the field are now being studied and tender for long lead items are being issued.

Drilling permit for ENI North Sea Well

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted ENI Norge AS a drilling permit for wellbore 34/12-1 in the North Sea.

Eni successfully appraises the Longhorn Discovery in Gulf of Mexico

Eni has successfully drilled the last appraisal well, encountered approximately 127 metres (419 ft) of net pay in multiple sands. The initial analysis indicates good reservoir quality.
