PA Resources has commenced the drilling of an exploration well on the Didon North prospect located on the Zarat permit in Tunisia. Results from the drilling are expected by year end. Full text
Following successful completion of a side track on the Jordbær Central discovery announced in August, Revus Energy today confirmed the extension of the oil discovery in well 34/3-1A. The oil water contact was encountered as prognosed, and Revus Energy's internal preliminary estimates indicate recoverable reserves of between 57 and 100 mmboe. Full text
Revus Energy (UK North Sea) Limited ('Revus') announces that it has entered into a farm-in agreement with EnCore Oil plc ('EnCore') to earn a 20 per cent interest in UK Central North Sea blocks 28/9 and 28/10c. Through the deal, Revus will obtain access to the 'Catcher' prospect which will be drilled in 2009. Full text
Antrim Energy today announced the signing of an Agreement with Fairfield Energy Limited for platform hosting services on the Dunlin Alpha Platform for its Causeway Development in the UK North Sea. It is planned for the Causeway Field to be developed using subsea production technology with a tie-back to the existing Dunlin Alpha Platform (Dunlin), which lies approximately 9 kilometres to the east of Causeway. Eni has made a new gas discovery in the Sicilian Strait, about 20km off the coast of Agrigento, through the Argo 2 well. The Argo 2 discovery (Eni is the operator with a 60% share, Edison 40%), located at a water depth of approximately 500 metres, follows the recent Cassiopea 1 well gas discovery. Full text
Serica Energy plc has announced an agreement with Hansa Hydrocarbons Limited for Hansa to farm-in to Serica’s UK licences covering Block 48/16b and Block 48/17d in the Southern North Sea. Completion is subject to the receipt of UK government consent. Full text

BHP Billiton announced today that it has signed a contract with the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) for the purchase of gas from the second phase of its Greater Angostura field. During the Phase II development, BHP Billiton and its partners will construct and install a new gas export platform alongside the company’s existing facilities within the Greater Angostura Field. Hess Corporation announced today that the Nimblefoot-1 exploration well on Australia's Northwest Shelf discovered natural gas. The well encountered 93 feet (28 meters) of net gas pay. Hess holds a 100 percent interest in the 780,000 acre WA-390-P Permit. Full text
