Norwegian Energy Company ASA (Noreco, OSE:NOR) is pleased to announce that the owners of the South Arne field in Denmark have approved the Phase 3 development project, which will add approximately three million barrels oil equivalents of new reserves net to Noreco. Full text
BP Egypt announced today that it has made a significant gas discovery in the Deepwater West Nile Delta area. The Hodoa discovery is located in the West Mediterranean Deepwater, Nile Delta concession, some 80 km northwest of Alexandria. Full text
Norwegian Energy Company ASA has announced that the joint venture partners in the Huntington field development today signed a leasing contract for the FPSO Sevan Voyageur. The FPSO Sevan Voyageur is currently in the Nymo yard in Arendal, Norway, where gas compression and water injection upgrades will be carried out. The FPSO will be installed on the Huntington field in the fourth quarter of 2011. Full text

Bergen-based specialist subsea service company DOF Subsea Norway has been awarded a contract for the provision of Complementary Offshore Geotechnical Survey by Shtokman Development AG. DOF Subsea will commence work in the Shtokman Gas Condensate field in early September utilising own vessel Geobay. The scope of work, consisting of offshore geotechnical survey, onshore testing and reporting, will be carried out in cooperation with PeterGaz Ltd. Full text

Finder has announced that it has entered into a farm-out agreement which provides for Apache to earn a 75% interest in Exploration Permit WA-450-P. The BGP Challenger is currently acquiring 2D long offset seismic data on behalf of Spectrum Multi-Client in the US Gulf of Mexico. The BGP Challenger, which was commissioned in early 2009 is currently acquiring Phase 4 of Spectrum’s extensive Big Wave Multi-Client programme in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Full text
