Marubeni North Sea Ltd. Production is expected to increase from 2008, peaking at over 30,000 barrels per day in 2013-2014. The development cost is an estimated 2 billion dollars for additional proved and probable reserves of around 150 million barrels. Nexen announced today that development of the Usan field, offshore Nigeria has received all necessary approvals to proceed. The Usan field was discovered in 2002 and is located approximately 100 kilometers offshore in water depths ranging from 750 to 850 meters. Full text

Norwegian Energy Company ASA, The operator StatoilHydro has successfully completed a well on the North flank of the Brage field in Norway. The well was has been tested at stable rates of more than 17 000 barrels per day. This represents more than 2 100 barrels per day net to Noreco. Full text
An oil discovery has been made by StatoilHydro due south-west of the Grane field in the North Sea. The size of the find is estimated to be in the order of 20 – 30 million recoverable barrels of oil. Full text
