USD 725 million exploration and development investment from Lundin

Tap Oil Limited ("Tap") advises that the Labatt 3D Marine Seismic Survey, within Bass Basin permit T/47P, was completed on 1 January 2008. A total of 524.6 square kilometres of full-fold prime 3D data were acquired. Full text
More UK activities for StatoilHydro
At the beginning of December StatoilHydro completed an agreement with Chevron to take over three heavy oil licences on the British continental shelf (UKCS). This is the first-ever operatorship for the group in this area. Full text

Anadarko oil discovery in West Tonga deepwater Gulf of Mexico
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:APC) today announced an oil discovery at its West Tonga prospect on Green Canyon block 726 in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. StatoilHydro to drill Ragnarrock exploration well in the North Sea
StatoilHydro ASA has concluded drilling of exploration well Ragnarrock 2 (16/2-4), in the North Sea. The well lies 35 kilometres east of the Gudrun field and 30 kilometres south of the Grane field.
