Candidates for the NPD IOR award 2007 wanted

2007.12.05 - Industry

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) is looking for candidates for the IOR award for 2007.

The NPD hands out the IOR award to production licences, companies, projects or individuals that have created added value on the Norwegian continental shelf through innovative actions and plans linked to improved oil recovery.  The award is intended to be an acknowledgement of creativity, steadfastness and the willingness to take a chance when it comes to applying methods and technology that can increase recovery beyond what is expected with the existing plans and methods.

The IOR award was first presented in 1998.  Baker Hughes and Halliburton shared the 2006 award for progressive development and application of advanced drilling and well solutions on Troll.

The NPD is now calling for nominees for the 2007 IOR award.
