Ithaca Energy streamlines production reporting for Beatrice field with ENERGYSYS

2009.12.07 - Industry

The ENERGYSYS production reporting and hydrocarbon allocation software has been selected by Ithaca Energy (UK) Limited to streamline its production reporting for the Beatrice field, North Sea. The online service will consolidate complex IT systems, software, security and data management into a single, low cost online service.

ENERGYSYS is a highly advanced online tool for hydrocarbon allocation and production reporting that makes it easier for companies to manage and deliver asset information to all parties concerned.  It is fundamentally different to conventional solutions because the software is hosted and available "on-demand", allowing oil companies to focus on their operations, replacing complex in-house IT systems with an inexpensive monthly subscription.

The software's configuration and operation is conducted using a standard web browser and entire new applications can be built without the need for programming.  However, expert assistance is on hand when required. Ithaca's application will be configured by ENERGYSYS Principal Accredited Partner KELTON(r), the Aberdeen-based specialist in flow and quality measurement to the Oil and Gas industry, and will use the standard ENERGYSYS Production Reporting application.

"We are delighted that Ithaca Energy has selected ENERGYSYS as their Production Reporting platform." said Peter Black, Managing Director of EnergySys Limited. He added: "By using our online service they get secure, reliable operation without the need for investment in internal infrastructure or specialist IT skills."

Iain Pirie, Operations Manager at KELTON(r), stated: "We will support Ithaca through all the phases of their project, from definition of the allocation and metering philosophy through to operation of the system. ENERGYSYS allows us to maintain the highest quality of service while delivering solutions rapidly and cost-effectively. We combine this with our expert advice to allow clients to maximise the value of their assets."
Ithaca will use ENERGYSYS 4, which can be set up and configured much more quickly than traditional enterprise production reporting and hydrocarbon allocations systems and at much lower cost. Users can build their business rules in a familiar Microsoft Excel environment and deploy the resulting spreadsheet to ENERGYSYS, where versioning, audit trails and security are managed to recognised standards.
