Fugro has agreed in principle to acquire the Tenix LADS business from the Australian based company Tenix Pty Ltd. Tenix LADS is a leading global provider of Airborne Hydrographic services, which uses lasers to measure water depths. The laser technology (known as LIDAR) in use is a LADS proprietary system. Weatherford recently announced the purchase of TNK-BP’s oilfield service arm – a $650 million business with approximately 4% of the Russian drilling market by expenditure. Cameron have entered into an agreement under which Cameron will acquire NATCO in an all-stock
transaction that values NATCO at approximately $780 million. The boards of directors of both Cameron and NATCO have unanimously approved the transaction, which is expected to close during the third quarter of 2009, subject to regulatory approvals, approval by a majority of NATCO’s shareholders.
