Cameron have entered into an agreement under which Cameron will acquire NATCO in an all-stock
transaction that values NATCO at approximately $780 million. The boards of directors of both Cameron and NATCO have unanimously approved the transaction, which is expected to close during the third quarter of 2009, subject to regulatory approvals, approval by a majority of NATCO’s shareholders. A global initiative to promote shared knowledge of flexible pipe issues in the subsea sector makes its Norwegian debut this week. Set up by the Aberdeen office of advanced subsea technology company MCS in a bid to raise standards and generate cross-company relationships in the subsea engineering community, the popular Flexible Network Forum (FNF) programme has already taken place in Aberdeen and Perth Australia. Schlumberger announced today that it has acquired the shares of Techsia SA, a supplier of petrophysical software based in Montpellier, France. Techsia, well-known in the industry for its flagship Techlog© product, will become the Schlumberger Petrophysics Software Center of Excellence for the development of state-of-the-art solutions for the oil and gas exploration and production industry. The awards in the 20th licensing round comprise 9 new production licenses in the Barents Sea and 12 new production licenses in the Norwegian Sea. The Government puts great weight on important environmental and fisheries concerns. The conditions relating to environmental and fisheries concerns has therefore been strenghtened.
