Subsea 7 Wins Safety Award at Oil Industry 'Oscars'

Subsea 7 Inc (OSE Symbol: SUB), one of the world's leading subsea engineering and construction companies, has been honoured for its commitment to safety by receiving the Safety Award at the 2009 Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards.
The Award, sponsored by BP, recognises a number of factors relating to safety procedures, including the processes in place for risk awareness and mitigation.
Robin Davies, Subsea 7's Vice President - North Sea, accepted the award on behalf of the company and said:

A new study published today by analysts Douglas-Westwood The World Deepwater Market Report 2008-2012 forecasts that nearly $25 billion will be spent annually in deepwater capital expenditure by 2012.
