The governmental oil company Ancap, acting on behalf of government of Uruguay, gives strong impulse to its campaign for promoting the investment by the world class oil companies in the oil and gas exploration and production in its Ocean Atlantic offshore.
First level members of the Uruguayan Executive Power and main officers of the governmental oil company will be introducing Uruguay Round in main international oil and gas conferences, to give the opportunity to investors to know benefits and advantages of investing in the Uruguayan offshore.
From March 3 to 5, Ancap’s president Raul Sendic and the E&P manager will be present in the Prospect and Property Expo (APPEX 2009) Conference in London, one of the main world centers of the oil industry. Raul Sendic will develop a presentation about Uruguay Round 2009 for oil and gas E&P in Punta del Este and Pelotas basins.
On March 10, Raul Sendic will be part of the delegation of the Uruguayan president, Tabare Vazquez, to the meeting with the Brazilian president, Lula da Silva. The visit will include analyzing with Petrobras (that already bought the bid documents) about the probability for concrete bidding offers, between other issues.
From March 21 to 26, also in the framework of the presidential delegation to China, the Minister of Industry and Energy, and main officers of Ancap, will inform to Chinese oil companies about the main issues of Uruguay Round 2009.
From March 24 to 27, the Ancap E&P Manager, Ph. D. Hector de Santa Ana, will introduce Uruguay Round in the Latin Oil Week 2009 in Río de Janeiro, where will be the main oil and gas companies of the region.
In the process for offering bids for blocks, next April 30 will be the last day for the interested companies to qualify.
