Cairn has secured interests in two frontier hydrocarbon exploration licences offshore southern Greenland through its exploration focused arm Capricorn. Eni and Sonangol E.P. made a new oil discovery in the deep waters of Block 15/06 offshore Angola. The discovery well Ngoma-1, located about 350 Km from Luanda, was drilled in 1,421 meters of water to a total vertical depth of 3,383 metres, encountering an oil column of 127 meters in high permeability Miocene sands. StatoilHydro and Eni Norge have signed an agreement under which StatoilHydro will be responsible for the subsea equipment in connection with the planning and development of the Marulk field in the Norwegian Sea. The Marulk field is planned to be tied in to the Norne vessel, utilising idle capacity. Full text

Aker Solutions has today signed a letter of intent with StatoilHydro to enter into a frame agreement for the delivery of drilling equipment and related operational services. The agreement for the delivery of Aker Solutions drilling equipment is awarded for a three year period with an optional period of two (2) x two (2) years. Full text

Cameron has confirmed an order of 14 MARSTM (Multiple Application Re-injection Systems) for the long-term subsea production optimization strategy on Chevron's Lombito Tomboco Field in Angola. The order is initially valued at $16M and represents another significant commitment by a major operator to the MARS production interface. Full text

Clough Limited (ASX:CLO) today announced that it had secured a further US$15 million work for its vessel, Normand Clipper in the Gulf of Mexico for two clients, Apache Corporation and Oceaneering International. Clough has secured agreements with Oceaneering International for provision of the Normand Clipper in the role of subsea construction vessel for pipeline repairs for Shell Oil and Taylor Energy.
