Deep Marine send Ocean Pioneer for survey work off Trinidad

Deep Marine Technology, Inc. annunces that the 205ft, 4 point dive vessel, the Ocean Pioneer, is headed to work for Capital Signal in Trinidad.  Working in water depths from 0-3,000fsw, the Ocean Pioneer will be perfroming primarily survey work.

The project started in the first half of April and is scheduled to last approximately 90 days.  In the meantime, DMT will be pursuing other prospects to keep the vessel in that area indefintely.

"We are exicted about this opportunity to work with Capital Signal and have the chance to extablish ourselves in the diving arena in Trinidad and the surrounding waters, " stated Mike Luinstra, VP of Diving.

The Ocean Pioneer contains a 10Ton Petibone Pedestal Crane, Skagit RB 90 waterfall winch with level winders, with (4) 5,000ft anchor cables, and accommodations for 36.

Petrobras start production on deep water field

The Piranema field, 25 km off the coast of Sergipe, started producing oil this Wednesday (10/10), in deep Northeastern Brazil waters. With operations going online in this field, Petrobras is taking another step towards maintaining Brazil’s oil self-sufficiency. The Piranema oil, of excellent quality, at 44º API, is the lightest oil produced in deep waters in Brazil.

ExxonMobil Announces Startup of Marimba North Project Offshore Angola

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) announced today that its subsidiary, Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Limited, has started production from the Marimba North project, designed to develop 80 million barrels of oil in approximately 3,900 feet (1,300 meters) of water more than 90 miles (145 kilometers) off the coast of Angola.
