Grenland Group to deliver Norne M subsea protection structure

In August, a 250 tonnes protection structure for the manifold will be delivered from Grenland Group. The subsea structures from Grenland Group is a sub-contracted delivery to FMC Technologies's Norne contract with StatoilHydro.

The new development is named Norne M, which is a typical satellite development tied into existing infrastructure, that is the Norne FPSO. The production from the new M-template will together with other new wells prolong the life of the field.

- We are happy to deliver another subsea structure under our frame agreement with FMC Technologies. With these deliveries, our yards in Grenland and Tønsberg have fabricated more than 200 subsea structures for large oil- and gas fields worldwide, says Anund Rønningen, manager of Grenland Group’s yards in Grenland.

ExxonMobil Announces Startup of Marimba North Project Offshore Angola

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) announced today that its subsidiary, Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Limited, has started production from the Marimba North project, designed to develop 80 million barrels of oil in approximately 3,900 feet (1,300 meters) of water more than 90 miles (145 kilometers) off the coast of Angola.
