New contracts and global projects for iicorr Ltd

Technical integrity and asset assurance expert iicorr has announced new contracts worth almost £1million.  The majority of the work has been secured by the firm’s specialist Inspection & Corrosion services team. The contracts have been placed by Oil & Gas operators Fairfield Energy and OMV, plus leading energy industry services companies Oceaneering and Schlumberger.

The projects have varied in scope from supply and installation of high tech corrosion & sand monitoring systems to the development of bespoke non-destructive technology (NDT) inspection tooling for risers & J Tubes.  The client base has stretched from the UK Continental Shelf and Central Europe, to the Caspian region and Central Africa.

ExxonMobil Announces Startup of Marimba North Project Offshore Angola

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) announced today that its subsidiary, Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Limited, has started production from the Marimba North project, designed to develop 80 million barrels of oil in approximately 3,900 feet (1,300 meters) of water more than 90 miles (145 kilometers) off the coast of Angola.
