Jumbo complete Van Gogh heavy lift project for Acergy

The offshore installation contractor for the Van Gogh project, Acergy Australia pty ltd., contracted Jumbo to take care of the transportation of the DTM buoy from Singapore to the Exmouth gulf, delivering subsea equipment to the subsea installation vessel mv Toisa Proteus, and demobilizing equipment. Exxon Mobil starts production on Kizomba C

Exxon Mobil Corporation announced today that its subsidiary, Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Limited (Esso Angola), has started production from the Kizomba C development, designed to develop 600 million barrels of oil from the Mondo, Saxi and Batuque fields in approximately 2,400 feet (800 meters) of water more than 90 miles (145 kilometers) off the coast of Angola. Talisman North Sea Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Talisman Energy Inc. (TSX:TLM) (NYSE:TLM), has commenced production from the Wood Field. The field is expected to produce at a peak rate of 6,000 bbls/d of oil and 16 mmcf/d of natural gas. The new facilities will allow the export of an additional 9 mmcf/d from the Montrose, Arbroath, Arkwright and Brechin ("MonArb") fields. Full text

Roncador FPSO P-54 online

Platform P-54 went online last night (12/11) in the Roncador field, in the Campos Basin. Designed to produce 180,000 barrels per day, at peak production, it will increase that field’s installed capacity to 460,000 barrels per day and make an important contribution to sustaining Brazil’s oil self-sufficiency. First Gas from StatoilHydro Njord Field

Njord is now a gas exporter in addition to being an oil producer. An investment of NOK 1. 2 billion makes extensive gas production feasible up to 2020. In the initial phase of the Njord field's lifetime the oil was recovered through 11 production wells while four injection wells sent the gas back into the reservoir as pressure support. Full text

BP today announced that natural gas production from the Mango field, offshore Trinidad, began on the evening of November 17, 2007. The field, in the South East Galeota Block, was first discovered in 1971 and further appraised in 2000. Full text
