SBM Offshore N.V. in association with its JV partner MISC, is pleased to announce that the FPSO Espirito Santo which was completed in Singapore in early November, has now arrived in Brazil. The FPSO will be hooked up to the anchoring system in 1,780 metres of water depth followed by installation of the subsea flow lines, risers and umbilicals. Venture Production today announces that it has successfully brought the Stamford gas field into production. Stamford lies in Block 49/10c and has been developed via a single subsea production well tied back to the Venture-operated Markham J6A platform, the hub for Venture’s Greater Markham Area (“GMA”) operations. Talisman (Vietnam 46/02) Ltd. ("Talisman"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Talisman Energy Inc. (TSX:TLM) (NYSE:TLM), has announced first oil production from the Song Doc field in Block 46/02 offshore Vietnam.
Gross production from five pre-drilled wells is expected to reach approximately 25,000 bbls/d by early 2009. An additional three development wells are currently being drilled. Talisman's share of proved and probable reserves in the Song Doc field is estimated at six mmbbls, with proved reserves of three mmbbls.

FPSO Sevan Voyageur has started the voyage to the Shelly field in the Central UK North Sea, leaving the Keppel Verolme Shipyard in Rotterdam. Having completed a less than 12 months period of hook up and commissioning of the topside and marine systems, the Sevan FPSO is leaving the shipyard 19 months after the contract signature with Oilexco North Sea Ltd. Total announces today positive appraisal results for the Moho Nord Marine-3 well, lying around 80 kilometres offshore of the Republic of Congo in 1,030 metres of water in the northern part of the Moho-Bilondo license. The discovery follows on from the Moho Nord Marine-1 and 2 finds in 2007. Full text

Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) today announced that it has started crude oil production from its Blind Faith Field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. First oil from Blind Faith was achieved on Nov. 11, 2008. Daily production is expected to ramp up to approximately 65,000 barrels of crude oil and 55 million cubic feet of natural gas over the next three months. Full text
Venture Production plc today updated on field performance and activity following on from the announcement of first production from the new Chestnut Field in mid-September. A second Chestnut production well, which was spudded recently, has now been successfully drilled, completed and tested.
