Superior Completion Services, a division of Superior Energy Services, has recently completed its first Multi-Zone Single Trip (MST) installation and hit several other milestones along the way. The installation was performed in the Gulf of Mexico on a dual producer completion project. Full text

The majority of the work has been secured by the firm’s specialist Inspection & Corrosion services team. The new name of the Onyx Field will be Linnorm after the Oljedirektoratet now has approved the applications for a name change. All the employees in Shell was invited to suggest a new name in a competition. After evaluating about 200 suggestions, the name was Linnorm, which was suggested by 4 different employees. Full text
BP started injectivity testing today at 19:05 (UK) and 13:05 (CDT) in advance of static kill operations. Based on the results of the injectivity test, pumping of drilling mud for the static kill could commence later today, following which a decision on the best way to cement the well will be determined. All operations are being carried out with the guidance and approval of the National Incident Commander. Full text
