Vega and Troll subsea structures ready to go
The three Vega subsea structures, and the Troll O2 subsea structure, each weighing more than 500 tons, are being completed, tested and prepared for delivery. The subsea system for the gas and condensate field Vega will be tied in with the Gjøa field that will come on stream off the west coast of Norway next year. The Troll O2 system will be tied in to the Troll C platform, and is expected to increase the Troll recoverable reserves by 20 million barrels of oil. - We are proud to have such a central role in the development of important oil and gas fields. With these deliveries, our yards in Grenland and Tønsberg have fabricated more than 200 subsea structures for large oil- and gas fields worldwide, says Rune Halvorsen, manager of Grenland Group’s yard in Tønsberg.
On behalf of FMC Technologies we are currently fabricating subsea structures for Total’s Pazflor field, Woodsides’ Pluto field, StatoilHydro’s Norne field and Troll field, ConocoPhillips’ Ekofisk field and for Shell’s Ormen Lange field.
