Knowledge Reservoir Leverages Improved Oil Recovery Expertise Across Global Projects
Knowledge Reservoir, a leading geosciences and engineering consulting company, today announced several new initiatives in the area of Improved Oil Recovery (IOR).Building on its reputation as the leader in deepwater reservoir engineering and geosciences consulting, Knowledge Reservoir earlier this year announced a contract with the Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America (RPSEA), to provide project direction and technical services for a project awarded under the RPSEA Ultra-Deepwater Program (UDW). That project will deliver a research report and characterization database of deepwater and ultra-deepwater assets in the Gulf of Mexico focused on incentives, needs assessment analyses and concepts identification for the application of Improved Recovery Techniques in deepwater. Additionally, Knowledge Reservoir’s activities on the US West Coast continue with a focus on heavy oil extraction and production.
Knowledge Reservoir is expanding its presence and activity in Latin America by commencing its third field optimization project in Peru, adding to recent successful activities in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico.
In Oman, the company is executing the fifth regional study in the area of field review and redevelopment planning since entering the region in 2007, and will recommend and manage the implementation of a combination of IOR and Field Redevelopment programs over the next twelve months.
Knowledge Reservoir has also kicked off a series of field review studies in Thailand, deploying regional expertise gained in recent years in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
