NETmc Marine interfaces Triton XLS data string to its VideoTXT video overlay

Technology
NETmc Marine, designers and manufacturer’s of a range of digital video recorders and video overlays for the offshore market, has recently completed a development to interface the serial data string from the Perry Slingsby’s Triton XLS ROV surface computer to its VideoTXT video overlay, thus simplifying the setup of video overlay for that vehicle.
This data string has no descriptors however, should customers want descriptors added e.g. heading or only want to display part of the data string, NETmc Marine can parse the string and develop a client specific menu selection within the overlay’s menu to display the data as required.
The VideoTXT range of overlays has 2 serial ports as standard, a third is available as an option, so data from a navigation survey computer can also be displayed on the overlay or text can be written directly to the screen using the keyboard provided. As well as serial data, analogue data can also be displayed by using the optional analogue to digital converter module, this has 4 inputs, one of which is isolated making it ideal for CP inputs.”
